Public phone booths can have the strangest designs, as these below prove. Here are 29 weirdest public telephones ever. Some look really great, like the ice phone booth from Aliaska or the one completely covered in knitting, while others are rather peculiar. It would be great if there were these unique phone booths all over the world in all cities instead of the boring old ones.

1. Shark Phone Booths

If you somehow end up in Russia you’ll probably stumble upon some of these shark booths. Artist Renald from Petrozavodsk thought it would be interesting to replace regular phone booths with these. I agree. it’s great!

2. Swedish Rikstelefon

Honestly, I can’t see the connection between Sweden and Chinese rickshas, but it looks awesome. I wonder how is it that these booths didn’t pan out.

3. Knitted Telephone Booth

This unique phone booth that is completely covered in knitting can be seen in London. Unfortunately, we don’t know who is the artist or where did (s)he get the idea for this creative phone booth design, but it’s really colorful and lively. It would surely brighten up any grey concrete city.

Ice phone booth looks really cool, literally as well. The only problem is that we can’t have anything like this in the continental areas during the summer.
